Aberdeen Grey

Lines and lines into blocks of buildings
Looking down from the air
Aberdeen in grey
On the other hand...
Aberdeen by her country sides
The rolling hills, meadows, valleys
The greens of paddocks ... blocks of lands
the humble stone walls ...
Doted with spots of sheep
Cattle and horses grazing
Contributing a scenic landscape
Those Scottish artists to paint
The turners and constables time
And even those gone for before then
the country side ... the Aberdeen's pride
Individualistic in character
Stone - wall - linings
Paddocks and farms
In harmonious co-existing side by side
Trees with only branches - grey indeed
Of becoming the grey forest of woods
a gift of great perspectives
Miles into the distant far
inspiring ! inspiring !

So enjoyed your poem. In fact, our daughter is named just the same, inspired by many similar thoughts- aberdeengreyjohnson.blogspot.com
